Bruce Alan “Lucky” Baskerville was born in Enid, Oklahoma on January 17, 1950, to James (Ray) Baskerville and Martha V. (Young) Baskerville. He passed from this earth on March 20, 2012, after a brief illness. Bruce was a much loved son, brother, uncle, step-father / grandfather/great-grandfather, and friend. Most of all, he was the long sought after soul mate of his beloved wife, Betty. Lucky lived his life to the fullest, passionate in his beliefs, willing to challenge the status quo, and often embarked on his own path. He enlisted in the Navy during Vietnam, even though he could have easily been exempted. Lucky was a union crane operator and very loyal to Local 627. He had a private pilot’s license for many years. Lucky loved their dogs as he would a child. Lucky met Betty at AA in 1999 and were together ever since. They met with friends for sing-alongs and dances. Lucky loved to dance to big band music. He had a special fondness for the impromptu jam sessions with his musically gifted cousins, uncles, sister, mother, and of course, Betty. Bruce was predeceased by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife Betty; sister, Karen Raye (Baskerville) Cronin, husband Scottie; nieces Robin Rae (Cronin) Berry, husband Danny, and Connie D. Cronin. Lucky was blessed with the love and support of Betty’s children: Brad; Sherry; David; Emily; 11 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10:00am, Monday, March 26, 2012 at Bill Eisenhour Northeast Funeral Home with burial to follow at 2:00pm at Stigler Cemetery Stigler, OK.
