Carl Dean Brantley passed from this life Thursday, January 31, 2019 at home with his wife, Grace of 54 years by his side. Carl was born September 12, 1943 to H. Clifton and Ellie Sue Brantley in Oklahoma City. Carl had two brothers, William and Harold and two sisters, Louise and Mavis. He attended Capitol Hill High School and graduated in 1962. In November of 1963, Carl met “that pretty girl” Grace Ramirez at Rotary Park. They married June 29, 1964 and it wasn’t long before they started a family. Their children are Brian, Jeffrey, Jennifer and Jason. Carl joined the US Army in 1975 and took his family on an adventure of a lifetime to many states and countries. They lived in Panama, West Germany and Hawai’i. The worldly education given to his family was priceless and for that, his children are eternally grateful. Carl retired out of the military at Ft. Sill, Lawton, Oklahoma. Carl and Grace moved back to Oklahoma in 1995 to be home and near loved ones. While in retirement with his wife, he would watch his grandchildren and great grand children grow. His family will always remember him as a loving and caring, big hearted, strong man that loved life and fishing. He will be missed.
