Carole Dean Kuykendall passed away July 1, 2021. She was born December 16, 1941 in Grady County to Clarence Earlbee Lang and Dorothy Dolores Armstrong. Before she finished high school, she found the love of her life, Charles Hershel Kuykendall. They were married August 23, 1958 and had four children; Charles Fox, Dawn LeAnn, Lisa Gaye and Jeffrey Hershel. Together they moved and traveled frequently. They finally returned home to Oklahoma City in 1969 after which she ultimately earned her Masters degree in Psychology from Central State University. Carole was the most adoring and doting Grandma-ma to 12 grandchildren whom adored and loved her right back and added 11 great grandchildren for her to spoil endlessly. She loved and adored her special friend, Huong Ho, whom she cared for as one of her own. Kelham Baptist Church was her home where she was a fixture at Vacation Bible School and endured many brutal Oklahoma summers at Falls Creek in rustic quarters to cook for the kids well past the time her children attended. She was a breast cancer survivor and warrior in her own right. Carole and her family were blessed with an amazing and loving caregiver, Sheila Noble, who played an integral role in the last 3 years of her life. God called his faithful servant home on July 1, surrounded by her family she so adored. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Sherry Jo Lein Meek. Carole is survived by her devoted husband of almost 63 years, Charles Hershel Kuykendall, son Charles Fox Kuykendall and wife Danielle, daughter Dawn LeAnn Herrera, daughter Lisa Gaye vanWieren, son Jeffrey Hershel Kuykendall and wife Dee, her 12 adoring grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren, brother Rudy Lang and wife Annette, sister Jacki Hine and brother-in-law Ron Meek. We will always remember to count our blessings. We love you more.
