Cecilia Joanne Cragle

Cecilia Joanne Cragle, also known as Grandma Joanne or Crazy Aunt Joanne, was the firstborn of eight children born to Ethel Ray Gullion and Ella Cecilia Dumas. She was born in their home in Washington, Oklahoma and raised in Purcell, Oklahoma. Joanne passed away at her home in Jones, Oklahoma on November 9, 2025. Joanne graduated from Purcell High School on May 17, 1960. Soon after, she met the love of her life, Robert Cragle. The two were married on August 28, 1971, and raised their family in Jones, Oklahoma. Robert (Bob) Cragle passed away in 2017. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Jones for many years. Joanne loved her family and church family and will be greatly missed by all. More than anything Joanne loved being around her children, grandchildren, and friends. She loved cooking, writing, family gatherings and being able to care for others. Most people will remember her for her kindness, love and unfiltered witty personality. Joanne is survived by her children Rose Marie Dyer (Ron) of Noble, Oklahoma, Ella Denise Brown (John) of Choctaw, Oklahoma, Chris Grothe (Theresa) of Enid, Oklahoma, Mary Kathrine Calvert (Bobby) of Luther, Oklahoma; her siblings Harvey Gullion (Paula) of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, John Gullion of Norman, Oklahoma, Neva Lynch (Terry) of Lexington, Oklahoma; Charlotte Gullion of Lexington, Oklahoma; Ronnie Constant of Purcell, Oklahoma; eighteen grandchildren, thirty-two great grandchildren, six great great grandchildren, her caregiver Machelle Webb and fur babies Tiny Babygirl and Minnie. She is preceded in death by her parents Ethel Ray Gullion and Ella Cecilia Gullion; her husband Bob Cragle; her brothers James Gullion and Paul Gullion; her sister Nancy Gullion; Mary Constant and Barbara Gullion.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the First Baptist Church of Jones, OK, located at 320 SW 3rd St, Jones, OK, 73049, US. The service is scheduled for November 22, 2025, starting at 2:00 pm.
