

Charles Anthony Land passed away on July 4, 2024. He was born on August 8, 1949 in Oklahoma City to Robert Sylvester Land and Marion Miller Land. He attended Bishop McGuinness High School and Northwest Classen High School.
After joining the United States Navy, Charles served on the ship, the USS Power, stationed off South Vietnam and the Philippines. Charles spent his early career in computer programming in Jacksonville, Florida. After returning to Oklahoma City, he began working in the real estate field.
Charles was a loving husband to his wife, Dorothea, for thirty-seven years, and served as her devoted caregiver in the last years of her life. He loved being a Grandpa to his six grandchildren.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Dorothea, and daughter, Laura Jane. He is survived by sons, Charles Land Jr., Doug Land, and Rainey Land (wife Sara). Also survived by sisters Judy Casey and Maribeth Govin, as well as former wife Bonnie Land-Hartman. Grandchildren include Alex, Jessie, Dylan, Kalista, Sahara, Jaxon, and great-grandbabies Banxie and Saylem.
A celebration of life for Charles will be held Sunday, July 14, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Hahn-Cook/Street & Draper, 6600 Broadway Extension, Oklahoma City, OK 73116-1298. Immediately following the celebration of life will be a celebration of life reception in the Hahn-Cook/Street & Draper reception room.
