Claire Britton Branson

Claire Britton Branson 53, passed away May 4, 2015. She was born February 26, 1962 in Charlotte, N.C. Claire is preceded in death by father, Horace Grant Britton, and Brother Horace Grant Britton, Jr.

Claire attended Idabel High School and Seminole State College in Seminole and was a producer for the Seminole Producer newspaper for several years.

November 15, 2001 Claire married the love of her life James ‘Jim’ Branson, in Oklahoma City, OK.

She was an avid Tarheel fan, loved the Oklahoma Sooners and the OKC Thunder. Claire loved to fish, spend time outdoors at the lake and beach. Claire lived life to the fullest; she loved country music especially Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton. Claire never met a stranger and was willing to help anyone in need.

She is survived by husband Jim of OKC, OK. son Hunter McCarley of OKC, OK, step daughter and husband Megan and Eric Giddens of Bethel, OK, step son Jason McCarley of OKC, OK, step son and wife Erik and Carla Branson of Virgina, several grandchildren, mother Elizabeth Britton of Idabel, OK, sister and brother in law Rebecca and Kyle Crusoe of Choctaw, OK, niece Emily Crusoe of Choctaw, OK, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, May 8th, 2015 at Bill Eisenhour Northeast Funeral Home.
