Connie Diane Copeland

On September 15, 2024 Connie Diane Copeland would spend the final moments of her wonderful life surrounded by family. Connie entered this world on May 5, 1953 in Silsbee, Texas to parents John Floyd and Ruth Tanton. She later moved to Oklahoma City in 1985, where she met her husband, Randy and the couple were married soon after on December 19, 1986.

Connie loved to listen to a variety of music including country and Christian music and loved the colors pink and purple. A perfect day for Connie would be going to visit her daughter, having her son and family around her, and some time to get some shopping in. She would be filled with laughter around her family and reminiscing of the past. Her loved one’s learned from her kindness as a human being and to always strive to achieve that within their own lives. Connie will always be remembered for her smile, laugh, and how she could be loving and candid.

Connie is preceded in death by her parents John Floyd Tanton and Ruth Tanton; her brother Chuck Tanton of Silsbee, Texas; and sister-in-law Linda Tanton.

She is survived her husband Randell Dean Copeland; her children, Susan Ann Thornton and husband Denson of Bethany, Oklahoma, and Gary Wade Jones of Bethany, Oklahoma, her siblings Curtis Tanton of Silsbee, Texas, Michael Tanton and wife Gena of Silsbee, Texas, and sister Glenda Sue Noland of Silsbee, Texas; her granddaughter Chrystal Thornton, and many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service for Connie will be on Friday, September 20, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 8701 NW Expressway, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73162. A committal service will follow her memorial at Rose Hill Burial Park, 6001 NE Grand Blvd, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73118.
