I miss you so very much I keep looking through our messages and I forget if I message you won’t be there to message back, you never got too old to say you loved me and my babies you were uncle Corey, our three person gang is now only two and I don’t get to see Chris much either and it’s depressing y’all were my first brothers my best friends … Mylee chose to dance to one of your songs for competition I know mommy and nanny are taking good care of you and I know y’all will be watching her dance. Your we’re always so goofy always patient and kind and I miss getting invited to grill out or come hang out I’m so mad at myself for not making a way to visit more. I love you brother

It has been a year now since you left us although it doesn’t seem like it. It feels like it was just the other day. It has not gotten any easier, There is not a day that goes by that I don’t think of you. So much has changed since you left, and then not much has changed either. Part of my world stopped that day but life goes on for everybody else, they continue with the same ole routines and daily living, laughing and enjoying life as if nothing ever happened. I dont know how to do Christmas without you, I am trying to be joyful but inside I am so sad and breaking down. some days I wish I could just go to sleep forever. Why why why did you leave, I never even got to say goodbye and tell you I love you. We were suppose to go camping again and we made plans to go to the waterpark and so many other things we had planned on doing. I cant find the interest in those things now. I miss you so much it hurts so bad. I cant wait until the day we meet again I love you , Momma

I miss you so much. Thanksgiving was so different without you. I cooked but nobody was really in a thankful mood. I know Christmas will probably be the same. I see things and think, oh Corey will love this but then I remember the morning I got the news about you. Sometimes I feel like I am getting stronger but then I see or hear something that reminds me of you and then I break down. I listen to this song from Casting Crowns  and they sing about a slow fade. I used to be so close with God, but I slowly faded away from him and gave my self away to worldly things, and the lyrics in the song say " it's a slow fade when you give yourself away, it's a slow fade when black and white have turned to gray, choices are made, a price will be paid when you give yourself away. " I cant help thinking that the price I had to pay was losing you. Did God do that to open my eyes. I find myself questioning the existence of God, is he just a fairytale that was made up to comfort people when they lose someone so dear. Am I really going to see you again someday. I try not to be angry but I am. If only I had not give in to worldly ways you might still be here today, but then I also feel some comfort knowing that you are in a better place and you dont have to deal with all the crap you were going through here. We couldnt help you but God gave you peace and rest. I have all these feelings and I am so confused how I should feel and what to believe. I never had questioned the existence of God until the day I lost you. I think Daddy will be alright in time, but we worry about Bubba cause he is so lost without you and he is not getting any better only worse. Please Corey, if God will allow you, watch over Bubba and help ease his pain. I love and miss you so much.

Hey Corey,
Just letting you know that your beautiful niece, Scarlet was born on 10/11/21. I am so saddened that you never got to meet her or she will never get to enjoy you as we did. We will make sure she knows what a wonderful uncle you would have been to her, I know you were so excited about meeting her and you had already found gifts for her like the red wagon. We are going to clean it up and fix it for her toys and put your name on it so she will always know it was from you. We miss you so much it hurts so bad. I know you are at peace now and probably singing, dancing and playing music for everyone up there. I long for the day when I get to be with you again. I love you forever.

Oh Corey, I miss you so much, this is so hard. You weren't suppose to leave me, remember, you were suppose to be the one who takes care of me when I get old because you were so patient and nurturing and you took good care of Maama . Who is going to cook out for us now, you were always the one who got the family together for cookouts, you would hit me up on messenger and say 
" yea um I got some burgers and hotdogs if ya'll want to come hang, got smokes just need beer."  Who am I suppose to karaoke with now? We would party all night and you and me were usually the last ones standing. I miss hearing your goofy laugh and your voice. It hurts so bad, I'll never be able to touch your face or hug your neck, or hear you say I love you. Messenger is so empty without you. I dont want to live in this world without you but I am forced to because of Bubba and Richelle. I am going to hold on dearly to Hope & Faith that one day I will be with you again, it may just be one day for you but it will be an eternity for me. I hope God knows just how lucky he is to have you, I was always so proud of you I will always love you. Love Momma

I love you uncle Corey we all miss you so much I remember the last time we saw you, you  were swimming at the hotel with us I think that was one of the most fun nights I have had in a while  you were always so happy and your happiness always rubbed off on everyone around you. I'm going to miss you so much <3

Cory was always such a handsome, kind, loving and caring person. When he was little I use to always say you remember you are my boyfriend and he would say ok. I believe he had the cutest smile I can remember. I will always keep you deep in my heart and my love for you will always be.
