Curtis Wayne Lewis

Curtis Wayne Lewis, 72 of Vian, OK, passed away on March 4, 2025 at St. Francis Hospital in Muskogee, Oklahoma.

Curt was born on April 12, 1952, to Charles William and Delores (Harrel) Lewis in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Curt was raised in Choctaw, OK and attended schools in Midwest City and Choctaw, OK. Curt retired and moved to the Lake Tenkiller area in eastern Oklahoma in 2013.

On September 28, 1988, Curt was united in marriage to Sawannah Saker. They had been happily married for 37 years. Curt is survived by his wife, four sons, Curtis William Lewis of Oklahoma City, Charles Evert Lewis and wife Kantamas (Dear) of Edmond, Robert Dale Lewis and wife Myra of Choctaw and Shane Gordon Lewis of Edmond, OK; one brother, Charles Warren (Chuck) Lewis and wife Liz of Luther, OK; Five granddaughters, Paige Moore, Taylor Lewis, Kristie Lewis, Charlotte Lewis and Claire Lewis; Three grandsons, Robert Lewis, Jr., Cody Lewis and Charlie Lewis; and four great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister Karen Kubicek.

Curt was a Local 344 Union pipefitter. He began his career working for his uncle, Jack Matherly, at Matherly Mechanical. He and his wife later owned and operated their own business, Saker Mechanical, for 24 years until their retirement in 2012.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Thursday, March 13th at 10:30am at the Choctaw Road Baptist Church.
