I worked with Danny at Norman Regional as a fellow director.  I only found out today of his passing.  We had some good times together.  Danny loved to cook and was proud of his contributions to healthcare.  My condolences to his family and friends.

Margaret, my heart goes out to you.  I can't remember if I have had the pleasure of meeting you at one of the reunions.  John remembers Danny from grade school on.  I believe they were neighbors.  John and I went through Jr. High and High School with Danny, but I didn't know he had gone into the medical field.  We have lived in Choctaw 14 years and have missed out on getting to know you.  I hope you and I will yet have the chance to meet.  I'm sorry I missed the funeral.  I didn't find out about it until afterward.  It sounds like he lived a wonderful, blessed and full life. I graduated with Danny from Del City high.  He was a good friend in high school and a fun team mate on the football team.  
Danny and I had many classes together and ran around with each other.
We went our different lives and fell out of touch with each other as the years went by.  I know you can't recover years spent away from a friendship, but I cherish the many years we enjoyed as youngsters.

Marg, Danny was more of a brother than brother-in-law.  I cherish the memories you and Danny have so graciously given to me throughout the years.  I will always remember the twinkle in his eyes when he called me "little sister."  Danny was superman.  No task,whether  traditionally male or female, was beneath him.  He was an incredible husband, dad, brother, friend and chef.  His legacy will live forever in all those his life touched.

Danny Myers was a special man.  He was a passionate man when it came to his profession, Laboratory Science.  I will always remember those times I had a chance to work with him in OSMT/ASMT and in a business relationship as a supplier of medical/laboratory supplies and equipment.  He will be greatly missed. My sincere condolences to Danny's Family, I remember him in High School, he was so smart and such a nice guy, God Bless!

Danny's greatest adminstrative accomplishment in my opinion was developing a NIDA-accredited drug laboratory, one of the first 10 in the U.S. Unfortunately his single-minded focus, incredible work and dedication was never properly appreciated because of delays in the government's implementation which led to financial problems.
At the service yesterday the preacher talked about Danny's culinary skills.  I have 2 anecdotes to share.  I once remarked to Danny around Thanksgiving
that all pumpkin pies seemed to be made from canned filling, and questioned whether anyone could make a pie from an actual pumpkin.  Several days later, Danny presented me with a "real" pumpkin pie. It was delicious!  After one of our turkey hunting trips to western OK during which Jerry trapped some beaver for our host, Danny showed up at work with some barbequed beaver-certainly a first for me.  It didn't taste like chicken!

I wish the entire family the peace and comfort that can only come from God.
