

Danny K. Myers, 66, resident of Choctaw, Oklahoma, passed away on August 7, 2012. Danny was born August 25, 1945 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, son of Keith and Lois Myers. Danny received his BS degree in Biology from the University of Central Oklahoma in 1968 and his MA in Health Care Management and Supervision from Central Michigan University in 1981. Throughout his lifelong career as a Medical Technologist, Danny touched a multitude of lives with his soft-spoken, loving, and caring heart. From 1970-1982 he served as Director and Instructor, Clinical Laboratory Sciences, at Rose State College. From 1982-1996 he was the Laboratory Administrative Director at Integris Southwest Medical Center where he directed the operations for the laboratories, supervising a staff of 100 and implementing a host of new services and cost-effective practices. Danny came to Norman Regional Hospital in March of 1997. There he led six successful laboratory moves and construction projects and was the visionary leader for the lab responsible for new automations and strategies for futuristic laboratory services. Throughout his career, Danny received numerous honors and awards and participated in state and national professional organizations.
Danny was preceded in death by his father, Keith Myers and mother, Lois B. Myers. He is survived by his spouse of 44 1/2 years, Margaret Ann Myers (Little); daughter Lisa Rene' Brockett and husband Stephen, and son David Russell Myers and wife Aimee; grandchildren Bryce Brockett and wife Jessica, Luke Brockett, Jake Brockett, Carson Brockett, Taylor Myers, Ava Myers, Ellison Myers; grand dog Pumpkin; and great granddaughter Macy Brockett; brother Mike Myers and wife Mary and sister Jane Ann Roberts and husband Tim.
Danny will be missed by all those who came to know and love him. His heartfelt generosity to everyone whom he met inspires all of us to pay it forward and live the life he modeled for us. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Sunday, August 12, 2012, at Bill Eisenhour Northeast Chapel, 8805 NE 23rd St., Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, 73141 with burial following the service at Arlington Memory Gardens, Midwest City, Oklahoma. Public viewing will be at the funeral home Friday, August 10, 2012 from Noon – 8:00 pm and Saturday, August 11, 2012 from 8:00 am – 8:00 pm.
