

He was born on May 21, 1944, in Cushing, Oklahoma, to Theodore and Ileene (Dolan) Davis. Daryl attended Oklahoma City University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Technical Education and a Bachelor of Science in Liberal Arts.
Daryl proudly served his country in the Oklahoma National Guard from 1977 to 1999. His military career was a source of great pride, and he remained deeply connected to fellow veterans throughout his life. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans (DAV), the Harley Owners Group (HOG), the American Motorcyclist Association (AMA), and the 45th Infantry Division Association.
On July 19, 1965, he married the love of his life, Rita M. Swart, in Houston, Texas. Together they made their home in Oklahoma, where they built a life centered around family and shared memories.
Daryl had a passion for country music and loved spending time riding his beloved motorcycle, Elvira. Above all else, he cherished time with his family. His grandchildren brought him endless joy and laughter, and he was especially proud of his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his loving wife, Rita Davis; his children, Daryta Tanya, Christina Renee Davis, Christopher Scott Davis and wife Erin, and Sean Michael Davis and wife Chloe; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren, all of whom will carry forward his memory and legacy.
Daryl will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his pride in military service, and his love of the open road.
He will be laid to rest at Fort Sill National Cemetery in Elgin, Oklahoma.
