Diana Jean Whitaker-Jones

Diana Jean Whitaker-Jones was born December 21, 1957 to parents, Gene Brandt and Joann (Parks) Whitaker in Dallas, Texas. She completed her journey of life on June 12, 2024 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma surrounded by her family.

During Diana’s life, she lived in Texas, California, Washington, and Oklahoma. She loved to tend to her garden, cook wonderful meals for her family, playing the piano and spending quality time with her kids and grandkids. Diana loved her family intensely and was often considered a mom to everyone. She was a strong yet loving person who never let anything stand in her way.

Diana met Greg Loud and the two were married from 1976-1984. During that time, Diana gave birth to her first son Joshua Bo Alan Loud, in 1980. A few years later, Diana met and fell in love with Robin Jones while she attended Barber College, and they were married in 1987. They shared many laughs, good times, and created many memories together during their 37 years of marriage. Diana and Robin had children of their own, Rachel Rue Whitaker Jones in 1988, and Joseph Robin Isaac Jones in 1994.

Diana’s light and life will forever be cherished by her husband, Robin Jones, children, Joshua Loud and wife Jamie of Arvada, CO, Rachel Jones Heins and husband Darren of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Jospeh Jones and Amanda Folmar of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, parents, Gene and Joann Whitaker, siblings Gene “Brandt” Whitaker II and wife Angie Bunch and Jackie K. Whitaker, grandchildren Lennon Grace Loud and Maggie Mae Loud, fur babies Ella Mae and Mia, and so many others who saw her as their surrogate mother and a wonderful friend.
