Don Travis Hulme

He married Teiko Kunigami from Okinawa, Japan on December 16, 1969.

Don started his military career in August 1953 with the U.S. Army 82nd Airborne and 75th Regimental Combat Team during the Korean War. He transitioned into the U.S. Air Force in 1957 with service in the Vietnam war, retiring in 1981 after 28 years of service as a Senior Master Sergeant. He began working at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma, as an aircraft mechanic for an additional 18 years, retiring in June 2000.

He was a member of the American Legion Post, Non-Commissioned Officers Association, Air Force Sergeants Association and Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Don is survived by his wife, Teiko, of the home and their children; daughter Motoko Hulme-Baldwin and husband Mike of Oklahoma City; daughter Patricia Hulme Luedecke and husband Troy of Yukon, OK; son Curtis Hulme and wife Justice of Moore, OK. Grandchildren Chelsea Smith, Bretton Greenwood, Sydney Hulme, Travis Hulme, Collin Ragle and Mariel Hulme; Great-grandchildren Aiden and Knox Smith; sister-in-law Norma Hulme of Eufaula, OK and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Gordon Wayne Hulme of Spruce, Michigan; brother Garry Allan Hulme of Eufaula, Oklahoma. and sister Susan Lorraine Hulme of Prague, Oklahoma.

Visitation will be Sunday from 1 pm to 5 pm. A funeral service will be held 2 pm, Monday, August 16, 2021 at the Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Oklahoma City.
