One of two sons born to Charles Bengly Yeager, Jr. and Betty Jean Littlefield Yeager, Don was born July 18, 1958 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Don was proud of his accomplishment of the Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education he received from the University of Central Oklahoma.
Don or “Papa Don,” was a hard worker; sometimes working two and three jobs to provide for his family of seven. Don was a true example of how to have fun and how to give. Don was an outgoing, free spirit who loved riding his motorcycle and family road trips. His perfect day would be spent on the beach with Barbie feeding seagulls.
Don married Barbie Sue on September 27, 1980 and they were in love for 43 wonderful years. Barbie preceded Don in death on November 28, 2020. Don was a member of Village Baptist Church where he and Barbie attended together.
Don is preceded in death by both his parents Charles and Betty Yeager and wife Barbie Sue Yeager.
Papa Don is survived by his loving family: daughter Denise Davis and husband Shawn Davis of Cedarville, AR; son Jarrett Yeager of Edmond, OK; son Steven Yeager and wife Andrea Yeager of Oklahoma City; daughter Kelli King and husband Josh King of Wellston, OK; daughter Staci Yeager of Oklahoma City; brother Glen Yeager and wife Lee Yeager of Colorado Springs, CO; grandchildren Olivia Yeager, Morgan Yeager, Hunter Davis, Autumn Davis, Porter Yeager; two nieces and his fur babies and constant companions Brody and Jack.
A visitation for Don will be held Friday, May 13, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Chapel Hill Funeral Home. A Celebration of Don’s life will be Saturday, May 14, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Chapel Hill Funeral Home with interment following in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
