Donald Mathis Hughes

Don was born on April 30, 1943 in Jackson, Mississippi to the parents of Caswell and Minnie Hughes. Don loved to cook up some bbq or spend the day making cakes and pies.

Don is survived by his wife of 49 years Barbara Hughes, 53 his son James Hughes, 48 and his daughter Deborah Ward, 43 and her husband Jason Ward. Don was the proud Paw Paw of 4 grandchildren; Josh Hughes, 21, Ian Ward 12, MacKenzie Ward 10, and Hannah Hughes 10.

Don will have visitation on Monday, November 28th at Guardian West Funeral Home from 8am-8pm. His services will be held on Tuesday, November 29th at the Guardian West Funeral Homes Chapel at 2:00 p.m. followed by burial at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
