

Dorothy Nadine Good was born July 16, 1930 in Shidler, Oklahoma. She went to be with the Lord on December 12, 2025. She was the 3rd child of five born to Charlie Virgil and Birdie Irene Carter. She was raised in the Naval Reserve Oilfield east of Fairfax, OK. She graduated from Fairfax Highschool in 1948. She graduated from Central State College (University of Central Oklahoma) with a BS in Elementary Education. She began teaching in Lamar, Colorado and retired from teaching in Watsonville, California. When living in California she met and married Stanley Good.
Dorothy gave her heart to the Lord at age 9 and was faithful to use her talents at singing, playing the piano and helping wherever her church needed her. Especially teaching in children’s dept.
After living in California for 46 years she returned to Oklahoma City in 2012 where she lived with her sister, Naomi, until the time of her passing. While having no children of her own, she went out of her way to shower her nieces and nephews with love.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Good; her parents, her sister, Mary Bohde; her brothers, James P. Carter and Kenneth L. Carter; her nieces, Rachel Bohde, Candy Velarde, and Ann Woodruff; and nephew, Charles K. Carter.
She is survived by her sister, Naomi Jenkins; nieces, Eunice Hart, Janice Camera, Nancy West, Connie Daugherty; nephews, Paul Bohde, Ron Bodhe, David Carter, Steve White, Kenneth and Jim Carter Jr.
A memorial service will be held at Southern Hill Church of God, located at 1029 W I 240 Service Road, Oklahoma City, OK, 73139. The service is scheduled for Saturday, December 20, 2025, at 2:00 pm.
