Dorothy Uhl

Dorothy Uhl, age 95 passed away on Tuesday, April 8, 2025. Dorothy was born in Wilson, Oklahoma and went on to graduate from Frederick High School and St. Anthony's School of Nursing. She was the Surgical Nurse for Dr. O'Donahue, one of the top Orthopedic Surgeons of the 1950’s.

She was a longtime member of Pennsylvania Avenue Christian Church, volunteer at the Oklahoma City Library Book Sale, and tutored students at Western Oaks Christian Church. She loved to Sew and quilt and did beautiful work. She was the last of the Beacon Lights, her church group "Village" that raised their children as an extended family. She was a loving Mother, Mother-In-Law, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother.

Dorothy is survived by her family Susan Webb, Marsha and Richard Burger, Jason and Heather Burger, Caleb and Silas, Kevin and Rachelle Burger, Brent, Allison Burger, William H. And Jo Ann Uhl, Melissa and Jackson Babcock, Jack, Hudson, and Nolan, Matthew and Jennifer Uhl, Conner, Allie, and Lilly, Steve Thrower, Mitchell and Allison Thrower, and Julianne Thrower.

A graveside service for Dorothy will be held Saturday, April 26, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Rose Hill Burial Park, 6001 NW Grand Blvd, Oklahoma City, OK 73118.
