Eddie Eugene Wheeler

He graduated from Quail High School and later from West Texas A&M University, where he began his journey toward a successful career. For over 35 years, Eddie worked as an accountant for Weldon Truck Parts, where he was known for his professionalism and commitment.

Eddie’s life was also marked by his deep faith and involvement in his church. He served as a deacon and elder at the South West Church of Christ, where he regularly taught Sunday school classes and provided spiritual guidance to many.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Lucille Wheeler, with whom he shared a lifetime of love and partnership. He is survived by his daughter Starla and her husband Allan Henderson of Moore, Oklahoma, and his son Thurman Wheeler of Moore, Oklahoma. Eddie was also a proud grandfather to six grandchildren and a great-grandfather to eight great-grandchildren, all of whom he adored.

A visitation for Eddie will be held Tuesday, October 22, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services, 7720 South Pennsylvania Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73159. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, October 23, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Central church of Christ, 800 E Main St, Moore, OK 73153. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Eddie’s name to the Central Church of Christ.

Eddie will be remembered for his steadfast faith, love for his family, and dedication to his community. His legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
