Elijah William Leonard age 19 passed away on May 10, 2023 at St, Anthony's Hospital. Born in OKC, Oklahoma, he was the son of Robert Levert Leonard, Jr. and Charlesetta Yvette Leonard. He attended / graduated 12th grade from John Marshall High School in 2022. He resided at Angela Wyche SFC for 14 yrs. prior to his placement at the home he was in the J.D, McCarty Center. Elijah enjoyed Family and Social Activities at his conveniences, Basketball, Music, Outdoors, Vacation especially California, Favorite Musical Toy, Bike Riding, Trampoline, Bouncy House, Dancing, last but not least (Eat-Eat). He will be remembered for his unique laughter, love, smile, compassion, hugs, and reaching for the ladies’ hands to kiss it and smile. His one in a million look as he watches your every move to become the opportunist to manipulate whomever stood in his way. His musical favorite toy which seemed to never leave his ear unless he was eating, Turning on music as he would dance with one arm in the air and do the bounce step on beat. Let us not forget the paper airplanes and E-Dryer in Elijah's words were coping tools for him. Favorite Daily Words: “Eat-Eat, Please” even after he has eaten, “Aaliyah Milk”, “Night-Night” and return back to the family room in 2.2 seconds, E- Outside, Bye-Bye I am saying the number 1 then 9. Lil Man AKA “Speedy Gonzales” for his fast pace and movement when he wanted to be mischievous. It was clearly Elijah's World and you were blessed if he let you in it. He is survived by his Foster Family: Angela Wyche (Mom), Keonia Welch (Sister), Aaliyah Dennis (Sister), Anthony Gadberry (Brother), Jobe Walker (Brother), a host of family and friends, and the Leonard Family. The Funeral Service will be held on May 20, 2023 at 10am at Advantage Funeral & Cremation 7720 S. Pennsylvania Ave. Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73159 with internment at the HillCrest Memory Gardens. The viewing/visitation will be held Friday, May 19, 2023 from 5pm to 7pm.
