Ellen Bailey Rouse

Ellen Bailey Rouse, 89 year-old resident of Midwest City, OK, went home to be with Jesus on October 24, 2016. Born Feb. 18, 1927 in Mounds, OK, she was the daughter of W.A. and Hazel Glenn. She married her high school sweetheart Carl Bailey and they had 56 wonderful years together. Ellen was a graduate of McLish High School in Fittstown, Oklahoma. She was an industrious worker and homemaker all of her life. She was a faithful member of Meadowood Baptist Church and had volunteered at the Master’s Market until the spring of 2015. Ellen enjoyed working with G.A.’s, the Girl Scout’s; flower gardening; sewing; and cooking. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sharla Griffin. After Carl’s death she met another longtime member of Meadowood, Ralph Rouse and they were married in 2007. Survivors include her faithful husband Ralph Rouse; her son, L. A. Bailey; grandchildren, Aaron Price; Scott Griffin; and Meredith Gall; great-grandchildren, Kayt, Charley, and Colette Gall; son-in-law, Larry Griffin; sister-in-law’s, Johnie Glenn and Doris Bailey; many nieces and nephews; and the wonderful Rouse Family. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 28, 2016 at Meadowood Baptist Church, Midwest City, OK, with burial to follow in Arlington Memory Gardens, Midwest City, OK.
