

Esther Mae Nossaman passed away on August 17, 2010 at her home in Choctaw, OK. She was born in Latham, Kansas on August 25, 1921 to Jessie M. Hicks-Ketterman from Oklahoma and Parley S. Ketterman from Kansas. In 1939, Esther graduated from Lyons High School in Lyons, Kansas. She enjoyed playing the clarinet in the high school marching band, and also loved roller skating. Esther, married Floyd O. Nossaman in 1942 and he preceded her in death in 1993. After 24 years of civil service work, Esther retired from Tinker Air Force Base in 1981. Her hobbies were crocheting, sewing; reading and working jig saw puzzles. She was a member of the Choctaw Seventh Day Adventist Church.
Esther leaves a son, Rick Nossaman and wife Marilou of Choctaw, OK; daughter Sandy Bonnet and husband Frank of Blythe, California; one grandson; three step- grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; two great-grandsons; three step-great-grandchildren; and one step-great-great-grandchild.
A graveside service will be held at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens on Monday, August 23, 2010 at 2:00pm under the direction of Bill Eisenhour Northeast Funeral Home. The family is especially grateful for the loyal care-givers at Hospice Quality Care in Midwest City for the past 2 1/2 years. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or Hospice Quality Care.
