She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Jack, Louis, Joe and David and sisters Paulene, Eva, Letha and Leatta.
Growing up, her family moved around Oklahoma, Texas and New Mexico following ranch work and cotton crops. She moved to Choctaw Oklahoma where she raised her children and made a home for her family. She was employed by Albertsons as a cook and deli manager. She retired to her home in Choctaw where she tended to her family and her gardens. She loved the Lord with all her heart, her family, horses, and the western way of life. She never showed fear and never met a stranger. She welcomed all who came to her door, you never left hungry, or without a cup of coffee or a glass of tea. When she wasn’t running around, which was seldom, she would sit with her coffee and pray for someone, read her bible, or watch a western or rodeo on TV. She was a rock, mentor, prayer leader, nurse and doer of many things. She was a caregiver, a shoulder to cry on, a person to laugh with you or at you. She was there on your best day or your worst day. Her buttermilk biscuits were legendary as was her ability to feed a few people or an army. She was always happiest when she was surrounded by a big group of family and friends. She was loved and will be deeply missed by many.
