AVIS DE DÉCÈS

Florentino Gonzales Morales

11 septembre 19329 janvier 2021

A celebration of life service for Florentino (Tino) G. Morales, 88, of Oklahoma City, will be Thursday, January 21, at the Murphy home. The service will be for family only. Tino went to be with our Heavenly Father on January 9, surrounded by family.

Tino is survived by his beautiful wife of 50 years, Teresa T. Morales, brother Johnnie Morales, sister Dolores Wharam, sons Albert Morales and wife Dora, Orlando Lopez, Joe Sanchez, daughters Melba Botello and husband Danny, Veronica Flores, Christina Fletcher, Anna Murphy and husband Patrick, as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Pete Morales, Sr. and Guadalupe Medina, and his brothers Pete Morales, Jr. and Armando Morales.

Tino married Teresa on September 25, 1970 in San Antonio, Texas. Two years after they were married, they moved to Oklahoma City where they built a life together, calling Oklahoma their home.

Tino worked for Borden Dairy for over 10 years in management before taking a job with General Motors. He then decided to change careers to attend barber school. Once finishing school, Tino and Teresa bought Impressions Style Shop where they worked together and owned for over 28 years before deciding to retire. He loved being behind the chair and his clients so much that he brought a styling chair to their home. Over the years, he continued to see some of his clients up until March 2020.

Tino enjoyed watching football and basketball: OU, OSU, Thunder, Browns, but especially the Dallas Cowboys. He loved to do yard work and he enjoyed sitting in the backyard and watching the birds. He knew the importance of getting an education or trade. He always encouraged his children and grandchildren to further their educations. He only wanted the best for his family.

Daddy, Papaw, you will be missed but always in our hearts. Until we meet again.

For those who would like to make a memorial donation in Tino’s memory, here are two to which he donated:

I always remember dad combing my hair
at a little girl, probably around 3 to 4 yrs old. We would go to Brackenridge Park in San Antonio and have picnics.
Sunday’s would be a movie downtown and then go to a favorite and well-known
Coney Island for the best Hotdogs in town.

Though he moved to Oklahoma, we stayed in touch. We had our long conversations about work, career moves
etc.

Dad, I will miss you forever, you will
always be in my thoughts , prayers and
in my heart.

May you be at peace in the Heavens surrounded by angels

I love you forever
