

Frances Duke, 90 year-old resident of Midwest City, Oklahoma, passed away on September 12, 2010 in Harrah, OK. Born June 26, 1920 in Wilson, OK, she was the daughter of E. C. Kelley and Lula Mae Vernon Kelley. Frances was a longtime member of Dickson Baptist Church in Midwest City, OK. She had been a Sunday School teacher and a member of the choir. Among her favorite things to do were reading the Bible; helping people especially seniors; cooking Sunday dinner for her family; spending time with her grandchildren; gardening; sewing; and playing games, including dominoes, card games, and “chickenfoot”.
Survivors include 1 son, Danny and his wife Gloria Duke of Choctaw, OK; 1 daughter, Ann Goad and husband, John of Georgetown, TX; 6 grandchildren, Sandy and husband Josh Rooker; Kevin and wife Alisa Haynes; Chris Duke; Ricky Duke; Jessica Duke; and Traci Duke; 3 great-grandchildren, Jack Rooker; Justus Rooker; and Ryan Haynes; 2 sisters, Kate Taylor of Harrah, OK; Carobeth Farmer of Midwest City, OK; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 15, 2010 at Dickson Baptist Church in Midwest City, OK, with Mark Mathews officiating. Burial will follow in Arlington Memory Gardens in Midwest City, OK. Arrangements under the direction of Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home, Oklahoma City, OK.
