Frances B. Foster

88th birthday. She was born July 11, l923 in Barnard, Mo., to Lloyd B. and Fern Heifner. Fran was preceded in death by her husband Dr. E.W. Foster, Jr., parents and brother, Lowell (Bud) Heifner, and her daughter, Candace Foster-Hasis.

Shortly after graduating from Rubican Business School in St. Louis, Fran began working for the St. Louis County Health Dept. On July 31, 1948, she married E.W. Foster Jr., while he was attending Washington University Dental School in St. Louis. They later moved to Oklahoma City to open Dr. Foster’s dental practice. Fran worked there with him until starting their family. She was a longtime member of Crown Heights United Methodist Church.

Fran is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Lori Thompson Foster, and grandsons, Zachary Foster, OKC, and Ryan Foster-Hasis, San Antonio, TX, and granddaughter and her husband, Elizabeth and Terry Hepner, OKC. Also surviving are her sister and brother-in-law, Virginia and Harden Cox, Rockport, Mo., and two nephews.

The family wishes to thank City Hospice and Tuscany Village Nursing Center for their excellent care and devotion to their mother and grandmother.

Services are 10am Fri., July 8, 2011, at Guardian West Funeral Home. Family will greet friends from 6:30 to 8:00 pm on Thurs, July 7th.
