Gerold Lee Harrell Sr.

Gerold Lee Harrell, Sr., 76 year-old resident of Luther, OK, passed away May 30, 2015 in Midwest City, OK. Born June 22, 1938 in Oklahoma City he was the son of Roy Herschel Harrell and Maggie Lou McGee Harrell. Gerold was a longtime teacher having taught science at the Jones and Luther High Schools and at Rose State College. He enjoyed fishing by hand (Noodling for Catfish), swimming, and photography. Gerold was a member of the King’s Park Baptist Church in OKC, OK. Gerold had earned a master's Degree in Science & Education. He was preceded in death by his parents Roy Herschel and Maggie Lou Harrell and by 1 son, Roy Henry Harrell in 1995. Survivors include his wife Beverly (Davis) Harrell of the home; 1 son, Gerold Lee Harrell, Jr. and his wife Linda of OKC, OK; 1 brother, Edward Herschel and his wife Carolyn Harrell of Luther, OK; 1 sister, Olive Roberta Lee and her husband Dale of Choctaw, OK; 2 grandchildren, Cameron Lee Harrell and Courtney LeAnn Harrell, both of OKC, OK; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at Bill Eisenhour Northeast Chapel, 8805 NE 23rd St., OKC, OK 73141 with burial to follow at Luther Cemetery, Luther, OK.
