Guy Myers Ramsey

Guy Myers Ramsey died April 11th, 2023. He was born May 23, 1960 in Oklahoma City, OK the son of Robert Gillette and Alyse Myers Ramsey. He graduated from Putnam City West in 1978. He attended NEO and SWOSU. Guy was a lifetime member at Wesley United Methodist Church and contributed many things to both church and community. Some of his carpentry masterpieces can be found throughout the entire church. He helped start the “Guy Ramsey’s Community Breakfast” and “Breakfast with Santa” which has greatly benefited the community at Wesley.

Guy volunteered many years to the OKC Arts Council, even serving on their board. Guy could be found most Friday nights at Danny’s auction and was known there by friends as ‘45’ , his permanently assigned number. At the time of his passing, Guy had begun the process of starting a non-profit for animals with a focus on cats.

Guy was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his brother William E. Ramsey, sister Martha Ellis, nieces Madison Ellis and Brooke Willis and their respective spouses, great nephew Oliver and great niece Alysen, other family members as well as friends that he considered family.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, April 15, 2023 at Wesley UMC 1401 N.W. 25th OKC, OK.
