Gwen Leane Comstock was born on June 26th, 1964, to Jim and Ora Cunningham. She graduated high school in 1982 from Tuttle High. Shortly after high school she married Darran Lee Lovelace and to this union was blessed with daughter Brandy Lee Lovelace.
Gwen loved nature and found such joy in the beautiful plants and flowers some of her friends shared with her. While living in Yukon, she sat on her back patio in the early mornings for prayer time, and she marveled at all her flower beds, remembering each friend as she noted the beautiful plants they had shared with her.
In the fall of 2014, with the encouragement of her cousin Darla, Gwen picked up a paint brush for the first time in her life and found her new joy in painting. God used Gwen and gave her the ability to paint portraits for a local Hospice facility, blessing families of loved ones. When anyone complimented her portraits, Gwen always said “I just hold the brush and God paints the picture.” She gave God the glory for her painting ability.
Gwen is preceded in death by her parents Jim and Ora Cunningham and her brother J.W. Cunningham.
She is survived by her husband Roger Comstock, daughter Brandy Lovelace and husband Mark Martinez of Oklahoma City, sister Niki Nance of Oklahoma City, sister-in-law Dana Cunningham of Vici, her cousin who became a sister to her Darla Winters of Woodword, step-son Rodney and wife Marva Comstock of Thomas, sister-in-law Donna and husband Vaughn Pirtle of Blanchard, brother-in-law Jim and wife Trish Comstock of Port Clinton, OH, brother-in-law Howard and wife Stacey Comstock of Princeton, TX, sister-in-law Cheryl and Ramey Braggs of State Cetner IA, step-grandchildren Robert and Darrien Comstock of Thomas, and a host of precious friends she held so dearly.
