

Irene Ruth French, 83, passed away on January 6, 2011. She was born December 14, 1927 in Granite, Oklahoma to Ferdinand and Hedwig (Hahn) Graumann. Irene enjoyed sewing, baking, scrapbooking, gardening, fishing, and bird watching. Irene was a member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church for 58 years, serving as the choir librarian for many of those years. Throughout her life, she served as a Cub Scout den mother and when it came to singing she had the most beautiful voice. The most important to Irene was being with and taking care of her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Leon and Douglas Graumann; brother in law, Pete Norman. Survivors include her loving husband of 60 years, Raymond “R.J.” French; children, Neil R. French and wife Theresa, Marla R. Junghanns, and husband Royce, Dale R. French and wife Michelle; sisters, Agnes Norman, Virginia Sammons and husband Dave, Barbra Jones and husband Carroll, sister in law, Shirley Graumann; grandchildren, Leasa Weldon and husband Tommy, Amy Taylor and husband Mark, Jennifer Jessee, Bradly Jessee and wife Jamie, Jennifer Mulkey and husband Greg, Adam Junghanns, Cesiley Bouseman and husband Andy, Adrianne Junghanns; and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Saturday & Sunday, January 8th and 9th from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. The family will be at the funeral home to receive guest on Sunday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, January 10, 2011 at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Interment will follow at Arlington Memory Gardens. Arrangements under the direction of Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home, Oklahoma City, OK.
