

Britton, James (Jim) Edward, 64 passed away March 23, 2011, in Oklahoma City. He was born to Helen and Thomas Britton in Roswell, New Mexico on June 9, 1946. He attended Northwest Classen High School, Oklahoma State University and the University of Oklahoma Law School. He served in the army as Sgt., 5th of the 7th First Air Calvary during Vietnam from 1969-1970. While serving his country, he received 2 Bronze Stars and participated in the largest combat mission while serving in Cambodia. Jim had a long distinguished career as an Attorney in Oklahoma, practicing transactional law and litigation.
Jim was preceded in death by his father, Tom Britton, and is survived by his mother, Helen Britton, his daughter, Christa Sullivan and her husband Jackson Sullivan, son, Jason Britton and his wife Laura Britton, brothers, Thomas Britton, Jr. and Ron Britton and his grandchildren, Claire and Cate Richardson, Elijah and Caroline Sullivan and Grant and Emma Britton.
A Memorial Service celebrating Jim’s life will be held Monday, March 28, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at Britton Christian Church, 922 N.W. 91st St. in Oklahoma City. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to Britton Christian Church in Jim’s Memory.
