James “Jim” Richardson, (age 91) passed away May 11, 2025, in Oklahoma City surrounded by loved ones. Jim was born on August 28th,1933 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Grace Lorraine (Bernard) and James Franklin Richardson. Jim was raised in Oklahoma City and graduated from Classen High School. He then attended the University of Oklahoma where he was a member of the Sigma Nu fraternity. There he met and married Sandy Slavik. During his lifetime, he was a very accomplished businessman who was successful in the oil and gas industry. For the last 30 years Jim and Sandy resided in Oklahoma City. He enjoyed swimming and fishing, numerous pets, and being outdoors. He was a lifelong Sooner fan and loved visiting the Norman campus and watching the games.
Jim is preceded in death by his wife Sandy and his mother and father. He is survived by his dog Buddy and many loving friends.
Interment and private services will be held at Rose Hill Cemetery, Oklahoma City.
