JD was born on Dec 2, 1980 in Denton, TX to William Joseph Daniel II and Serena Bryant Daniel. He was raised in Denton and was a graduate of the Class of 1999 at Billy Ryan High School. He played baseball there and loved that group of guys like brothers.
In 2008 he met the love of his life Janae Cash. A few months later JD enlisted in the US Navy. He attended Advanced Individual Training at Corry Station Navy Technical Training Center in Pensacola, FL. In 2009 JD and Janae were married and they spent the next 4.5 years living in Hawaii while JD continued his naval career. JD served as an aircraft mechanic and spent time in Italy, Lithuania, Rota, and several other areas of Europe and Asia. In 2014 JD was honorably discharged from the US Navy on full medical retirement.
JD was a fun loving and passionate guy who loved hunting, fishing, and cooking for his friends and family. He was loud, funny, and always wanted to make sure that those around him were having a good time. He was an avid sports fan and he loved to cheer on his Texas Rangers, Dallas Cowboys or Texas Longhorn’s football teams. Music played a big part in his life and he enjoyed playing the guitar or listening to his favorite bands. He also valued his health and was a regular at the Gold’s Gym in Moore. JD’s faith and his family were priorities in his life. He was a member of the Life.Church Moore Campus where he made several wonderful friends who loved and supported him through his struggles. He was never happier than when he was surrounded by his pride and joy, his three daughters whom he loved very much.
JD Daniel was a loving son, a proud father, a skilled aircraft mechanic, and a trusted friend who will truly be missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Buford and Donna Bryant as well as William J. and Betty Daniel. He is survived by his wife Janae Daniel, parents Dan and Serena Daniel; three daughters: Zoie, Lily, and Sophie Haney; as well as numerous other beloved family members and friends.
