Genevieve “Jenny” Ida Gallamore, age 89, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 31, 2025. She was born on April 17, 1936, in Oklahoma City to Max and Anna Mielenz. Jenny grew up on a 160-acre farm between Harrah and Luther alongside her five brothers and sisters. She graduated from Harrah High School in 1954.
On August 3, 1956, Jenny married her best friend and the love of her life, Robert Gallamore. Together, they shared nearly 69 beautiful years of love and laughter.
Jenny began her career with Oklahoma Natural Gas in 1954, where she worked diligently for over four decades, retiring in 1997 as the Oklahoma City District Supervisor of Accounting.
A woman of deep Lutheran faith, Jenny’s unwavering belief was a cornerstone of her life. She was a talented cook and baker who loved nothing more than sharing meals with her family and friends. Jenny found joy in many hobbies, including bowling, lake sports (especially water skiing), crafting, and traveling. Above all, she was devoted to her family, and her two granddaughters were the light of her life.
Jenny was deeply loved by all who knew her and will be forever missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents and all five of her siblings.
Jenny is survived by her loving husband, Robert Gallamore; her son and daughter-in-law, Doug and Lisa Gallamore; her granddaughters, Angela Gallamore and Sydnee Wainscott; and her three great-grandchildren, Laureli Wallen, Jack Wainscott, and Isaiah Wainscott — as well as many other cherished family members and friends.
