

John Arthur Wiseman, Jr. Passed away January 27, 2015. He was born March 31, 1938 to John and Lucy Wiseman in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. John attended Putnam City High School. John served in the Navy during the South Korean war. John enjoyed many hobbies: woodworking, drawing, art, and photography. He also volunteered his time and was a member of the American Legion Post 21 in Independence, MO, as well as Disabled American Veterans. To recognize him for his duty in Korea, and his patriotic service, John received an award for his devotion to our country. John was also very proud of the time he met President Nixon, and worked for the Speaker of the House, Carl Albert. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Lucy Wiseman, first wife Clarice Wiseman, Claude Wiseman, Omega Helen Wiseman Sheltman, Bill Sheltman, Gerry Bass, and Claude Wiseman. He is survived by his wife, Lorene C. Wiseman of Independence; Son, Eddie A. Wiseman (Emily) of Jacksonville, FL; Son, John S. Wiseman of Fort Worth, TX; son, Todd W. Wiseman of Fort Worth, TX.; son, Troy Haas (Suzy) of Lee’s Summit, MO; son, Ryan Haas (Natalie) of Lee’s Summit, MO; sister, Sally Bartrug (John) of Edmond, Ok; 9 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. There will be a viewing and reception Sat, Jan 31 from 12:00PM-3:00PM for friends and family at Chapel Hill Funeral Home. Services will be held at Chapel Hill Funeral Home Sat, Jan 31 at 3:00PM with interment to follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
