Johnny was born on August 9, 1931 in Luther, Oklahoma. He was the son of Shade and Lucy Vails. He graduated from Luther high school. He was employed at Wilson’s food for 42 years in beef sales.
Johnny enjoyed sports, dancing, reading, gardening and playing poker. He will be remembered for being a great dad and grandpa as well as his character and personality.
He is survived by daughter, Vicki & husband Eddie Wodraska, son, Ricky Vails, brother, Ronnie Vails, grandchildren, Brandon and Nicole, great grandchild, Jimi and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
His parents, three brothers and three sisters precede him in death.
A visitation for Johnny will be held Tuesday, September 6, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Service-South Chapel, 7720 South Pennsylvania Ave, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73159.
A funeral service will occur Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Service-South Chapel.
Johnny will be laid to rest in Resthaven Memory Gardens, 500 SW 104th St., Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73139.
