Judy Martin Beal, 76, passed away peacefully on April 30, 2019. She was born in Mena, Arkansas and moved to Oklahoma as a child, living in Bethany most of her life. She graduated from Putnam City High School in 1960. In 1961 she married her childhood sweetheart, Carl Beal and became known forevermore as “Carl and Judy”. She worked as an executive secretary for many years and retired from Fleming Companies in 2003 where she made many lifelong friendships. Judy was very social and enjoyed Bingo with the fireman’s wives and loved taking painting classes with “Kaye and the painting ladies”. She could always be found running around with her best friend Robbie or taking classes at the senior health center with her neighbor Delores. She loved to travel with her son and daughter-in-law to racing events in Texas and spent a lot of time with her daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren in Florida, where she was simply known as “Grandma Judy”. She was a fabulous grandmother and never missed a birthday or important event in her Grandchildren’s lives. She could often be found sitting on her front porch or outside enjoying nature. She treasured her two cats and treated her squirrels and birds like family as well. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, cousin, friend and neighbor. Judy was the most selfless person and her smile and joy for life will never be forgotten.
She is survived by son Wade Beal and wife Cara, daughter Renee Kurlander and husband Corey, Grandchildren Graysen and Anisten Kurlander, sister Phyllis, brother Tommie, cousin Phil, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews, neighbors and friends. She is predeceased by her husband Carl Beal and parents Albert and Jewel Martin.
