Karen Louise Marlar Scholle, beloved artist, mother, and partner, passed away peacefully on September 9, 2024, at the age of 66. Born on September 29, 1957, Karen lived a life filled with creativity, love, and a deep connection to nature.
A gifted artist, Karen found beauty in the world around her, capturing it in her paintings and drawings. Her talent and passion for art brought joy not only to herself but to everyone who had the privilege of experiencing her work.
Karen's love extended beyond her art to her cherished family. She was a devoted mother to her two children, Nicholas and Vanessa, whom she shared with her former spouse, Robin. Her bond with them was unbreakable, and they were her pride and joy. For nearly 20 years, Karen found companionship and love with her partner Kenny, sharing countless memories together.
One of Karen's greatest joys was her dog, Rumble, who was her faithful companion. Together, they spent many hours in the garden—a place where Karen felt most at peace. Her love for flowers and her garden was a testament to her nurturing spirit and her appreciation for the beauty of life.
Karen is preceded in death by her parents, Harmon and Wynonna, and her two sisters, Janice and Norma. She is survived by her sister, Linda, who will carry forward the memories of their shared childhood and sisterhood.
Karen's light touched the lives of many, and her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew her. She will be deeply missed by all who loved her.
A celebration of Karen's life will be held on September 26th at 2pm, where family and friends can gather to honor her memory and the incredible legacy she leaves behind. May she rest in peace, surrounded by the beauty she so deeply cherished.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in her memory to an animal rescue of your choice, reflecting Karen’s deep love for animals, especially her dear Rumble.
