

Kenneth J. Ledet, of Choctaw, OK passed from this life on February 14, 2020, at Integris Edmond after a short but valiant battle of cancer. Ken was born on March 3, 1940, Abbeville, Louisiana and preceded in death by his parents, Aubrey and Ezare Ledet, his brothers, Carol, Donald and Roland, and sister Jo-Ann Quinn. Ken is survived by his wife, Madelene, and their little dog, Cutie, which he loved very much of Choctaw and her children, Sharon, Steve, and Sylvia. His children, Darlene, Tina, Jeanne, and Kenny as well as 16 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren with one more on the way. His brothers, David and Steve, and sister Vicki and a myriad of nieces and nephews.
Ken graduated from Florida Military School with honors and attended St. Edwards University in Austin, Texas. He worked in a variety of positions in the oil & gas industry in the United States, South America and Guatemala and worked his way up from a tool pusher to Western Hemisphere Contract Manager for Parker Drilling Company before leaving this line of work. In his later years, he settled down in Choctaw, OK, retired from Terminix as Pest Control Manager. He was a member of Choctaw Road Baptist Church, where he was baptized.
He had a charismatic personality and loved to sing and dance. He enjoyed lake time and fishing with family. His vacation time in South Texas turned into their winter getaway which he loved so much. He was competitive and loved games. He enjoyed a wide range of activities from football, skiing, golf and racquetball to name a few. He will be greatly missed but his memories will be cherished until we meet again.
The family would like to thank Dr. Showalter, the entire Integris cancer team and all the staff at Integris Health Edmond who cared for Kenneth and supported his family during his difficult fight with cancer and allowed him to die with dignity and grace.
