Kevin Joe Wells was born on August 9, 1960 in Arkansas City, Kansas to Joseph Edward and Phyllis Arlene Wells. The Wells family moved to Oklahoma City in the summer of 1962 where Joseph found work as a carpenter for JJ Bolinger Construction and Phyllis found work at the Western Electric Plant. Kevin attended Rancho Village grade school, Central middle school, and then on to Capitol Hill High School. He began his working career as a carpenter (like his father) for Novak & Lackey Construction in 1977. In 1981 he met and married Carol Lee and they had one son, Adam Lee Wells. Adam turned out to be Kevin’s only child. After Kevin and Carol, divorced they both went on to marry other people. Kevin’s son Adam (Ashley) had three children Adria, Asiah, and Able. Kevin worked for various construction companies over the years, including his older brother Mike’s company, MA Wells Construction. He mastered many skills through his years in construction advancing to the position of superintendent and running construction sites. In his last years he worked alongside his best friend, Rob Crain, doing home remodeling projects. Kevin enjoyed going to the lake and being with his friends. Kevin was preceded in death by his grandparents on both sides, father, mother, and granddaughter. He is survived by his sister Diane (Jerry) Mooney of Edmond, brother Mike (Joni) Wells of Mustang, his younger brother Brian (Susan) Wells of Mustang, his son Adam (Ashley) Wells, ex-wife Bonnie Hall, two stepsons, his grandsons Asiah and Able, and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Kevin had an adventurous life that took him to many beautiful places while meeting some very interesting people along the way. Kevin is gone way to soon, but if he ever met you along his journey, he never forgot you or your name. He had a very good memory for that.
