Lance Leon Maynard

II Chronicles 7:14 (NKJ)

If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves, and pray and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

Lance Leon Maynard joined the LORD on February 27, 2025 at the age of 62.

He truly believed that one of the keys to life was exercising faith like that of a mustard seed. Matthew 17:20 and He said to them, "Because of your meager Faith, For truly I say to you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here', and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you."

Always concerned where others would spend eternity, Lance often shared Christ with his co-workers at OG&E where he faithfully worked for well over 25 years. He was eventually promoted to Materials Supplies Supervisor and managed various locations spanning across Oklahoma and into Arkansas. Take care of your people and your people will take care of you was first and foremost in how he led.

As an avid runner, Lance always found time to take on a Fitbit challenge.

Hebrews 12:1-2.

Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance and the sin, which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Just like Thomas (Didymus - Twin) Lance was also a twin. Lance & Lawrence's level of mischievousness knew no bounds. Lance, being the older twin, always stood ready to defend and protect Lawrence. John 20: 24-29.

Lance served as a Deacon at a previous church and as a Usher at Cornerstone. His presence will truly be missed.

Survived by: Son, Laurence Maynard (Somi); Daughter, Lauren Maynard. Mother, Lucinda Rhodes; Father, Lawrence Maynard; Brother, Byron Maynard (Vickie); Sister, Sandra Redmond (James); Godmother, Nellita Wade and a host of nieces and nephews.
