She was born on September 20, 1949 in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, daughter of Rogelio and Ofelia (Villareal) Rodriguez. Although the family migrated to Oklahoma City when Laura was still a child, Monterrey always held a special place in her heart as her hometown.
Laura is preceded in death by her parents Rogelio and Ofelia Rodriguez; her daughter, Tonya Renee Solis; her brother, Jose (Joe) Rodriguez; and sister, Ofelia Rodriguez Marquez.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her husband, David Solis; her son, David Ray Solis (Christy); her daughter, Christina Solis Munoz (Juan Pablo); her son, Richard Anthony Solis (Raquel); and her brother, Rogelio (Roy) Rodriguez (Cathy).
She is also survived by her proudest legacy: her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Alysia Solis, Brandy Pando, Idalis Rodriguez-Solis, Aolani Solis, Diego Rodriguez-Solis, Alex Munoz, Lana Munoz, Courtney Cantrell, and Christopher Cantrell. She loved them, and every one of her great-grandchildren, as fiercely as she loved her Dallas Cowboys.
