Laura M Trumbly

Laura M. Trumbly of Edmond was born September 28, 1927 in Stigler OK to Rube and Vannie Roberts. Laura passed away May 30, 2014 surrounded by her family and loved ones at her home at Autumn Leaves Memory Care Center in Edmond OK. Laura’s favorite pass times were going to the lake with her family, bowling with her friends and gardening. She loved watching the flowers bloom and the birds flutter about. Her favorite flowers were lilies and roses; her favorite bird was the Cardinal. Laura and Harold’s children, grandchildren, family, and friends were often at their house. Sounds of children running and laughing were often at Laura’s home. They always felt safe and loved! Lauran graduated from Central State High school in Oklahoma City. In the 40’s Laura worked at the cookie factory off Classen in Oklahoma City. Soon afterward she and Harold started their own business H.E. Trumbly Homes Inc. where she was the vice president and secretary. Laura was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years Harold E. Trumbly; her parents: Rube and Vannie Roberts, sisters Kay and Ruby and her brother Gene. Laura is survived by her three children: Son Ricky E. Trumbly; Daughter Rennay Smith and husband Doug Smith; and daughter Shonsy Sybert and husband Rick Slybert. Laura has seven grandchildren: Lauran Powell; Brian Trumbly; Sarah Trumbly; Mistie Dawn Smith-Newsom; Christie Smith; Pamela Johnson; and Shontel Daniel. Eight Great-grandchildren; Nicole, Kenzie, Brittany, Bryce, Breelyn, Juliana, Alexandra, and Peton. One Great-great grandchild Asher. Laura’s grandchildren called her “Pretty Grandma”. (how fitting!) Laura is also survived by her Brothers Johnny and Eldon and her sister Livinnia. Our family would like to thank the staff and nurses at Autumn Leaves Memory Care Center in Edmond. Also a big thank you to Frontier Hospice nurses and staff. We cannot put into words how grateful we are for at he care and treatment Laura received by both Autumn Leaves Memory Care Center and Frontier Hospice!!.
