

Leonard Wesley Arnold peacefully entered into eternal rest on June 24, 2024 at the age of 78 after suffering from Alzheimer’s Disease. Leonard was a devout Christian whose faith guided him throughout his life's journey. Leonard was a steadfast husband to his wife, a loving father, and a cherished uncle.
Born on December 2, 1945 in Oklahoma City, Leonard was the son of Daniel Harley and Ella Pearl Arnold. He graduated from Capitol Hill High school where he as an All-State athlete in football. Leonard graduated from Central State University with a bachelor’s degree in politics and government. He received an athletic scholarship and pursued his passion in football as a tight end. He then went on to have a successful career as a Logistics and Aviation Supervisor with Tinker Air Force Base for 35 years. His dedication to his work was matched only by his commitment to his family.
Leonard leaves behind his beloved wife, Gaytra Ann, who he loved for 57 years of marriage, their daughter Lauri Korstjens and her husband Daryn, and countless nieces and nephews who he adored. Leonard was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Daniel Harley Arnold Jr., sister Joyce Jean Arnold Neff, and son Allan Eugene Arnold. Leonard and Gaytra were long term members of Quail Springs Baptist Church and currently Southern Hills Baptist Church.
The funeral service honoring Leonard's life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
While we mourn his passing, we take comfort in knowing that he has been called home to be with his Heavenly Father. As we bid farewell to Leonard Wesley Arnold, we celebrate his life of faith, love, and devotion. May his soul rest in eternal peace, and may his memory continue to inspire us to live with honor and faithfulness.
