

After high school she attended the University of Oklahoma where she majored in commercial art. She studied art in Philadelphia before moving to Oklahoma City. At OU she was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority and stayed active as an alum including serving as the chairman of the Theta Flaming Festival. She was also active in Junior League, as well as Lyric Theatre, Oklahoma City Symphony, YWCA and a charter member of Antiques Club. One of her favorite things to do was playing duplicate bridge where she became a Bronze Life Master and traveled all over the country playing in tournaments. She met and married George Massad and together they enjoyed playing tennis and attended many tournaments including Wimbledon. She was a longtime member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Cathedral where she served on the Vestry, The Alter Guild, was gift buyer for the Cathedral Book Store and was a food chairman for Mobile Meals for over 40 years.
Linda was predeceased by her parents, husband George, sister Suzanne Baumert (John), step-daughter, Carol Clements, two nephews, Charles Baumert and John Baumert (Leslie). She is survived by nephew Carter Baumert (Cara), step-sons, Dan Massad (Scott) and John Massad (Pamela), and great nieces, Brooke Baumert (Hobbs), Anna Baumert, Lauren Ware (Matthew), Mackenzie Baumert, great nephew Garrett Baumert and great-great niece, Eden Baumert.
She is also survived by her beloved dog, Duffy.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Linda’s name would be appreciated to St. Paul’s Cathedral, 127 N.W. 7th Street, Oklahoma City, OK 73102
The family will hold a memorial service for family and friends at St. Paul’s Cathedral, Thursday, November 21, 2024 at 2 pm.
