

Lois Jean Cockrell, 86 , of Bethany, Oklahoma, passed away November 28, 2016 in the comfort of her home. She was born in Ardmore, Oklahoma on April 7, 1930 to Juanita (Franks-Parker) and Wayne Bingham. Following graduation from North Classen High School she attended some college courses. She was self-employed as an interior decorator. Jean was married to Mike Cockrell for 46 blissful years. She was a member of Bethany First Baptist Church. For many years she was a cook many different churches in her community including Falls Creek. She was an avid bowler for over 40 years. Jean acquired many bowling awards and has competed in numerous local and state tournaments. During her bowling career she competed in thirty-four national bowling tournaments. Jean also enjoyed being around children, helping others, anything red, Christmas (it was her favorite season of the year) as well as spending time with her loving family.
She is preceded in death by her parents Wayne and Juanita, husband Mike, daughters; Michelle, Sherri and Sheila Cockrell and her brother; Joe Bingham.
She leaves behind many loving family and friends including her two brothers; Rusty and Rodger Bingham, her sons; Clint Eaves and Michael Cockrell (wife Debbie), grandchildren; Krystal, Jessica and her husband Daniel, Krysti, Justin and his wife Liz, and Aaron. She was also blessed with many great grandchildren.
