

Loretta was born on March 17, 1947 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Albert and Dorothy Bristow at State University Hospital Stockyard Station. She lived with her family in the community camp where she met her late husband James Garner. She married James on March 11, 1969 . They moved to Mulligan Flats together and raised four children.
She worked for Haggar Slacks in the 1970s, later leaving to work for Vickers, Diamond Shamrock, and Total Petroleum as a manager from the late 1970s until 2000. She then worked for Hobby Lobby as a manager for a little more than a year before retiring.
Outside of work, Loretta loved to watch soap operas including favorites ‘The Young and The Restless’, ‘Guiding Light’, ‘As The World Turns’, ‘Dallas’, and ‘Knots Landing’. Later in life she loved watching television dramas like ‘Chicago Fire’ and ‘Blue Bloods’. She also loved spending her free time crocheting and playing bingo when she wasn’t spending time talking and visiting with her family.
Loretta was preceded in death by her husband James, her son Dale, her parents Albert and Dorothy, her three brothers and her sister. She is survived by her children Allen, Richard, Erica, along with eleven grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life for Loretta will be held Tuesday, April 11, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home, 8805 NE 23rd Street, Oklahoma City, OK 73141.
