Lynnabeth Greene

Lynnabeth "Lynn" Greene was born on January 5, 1933, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Dr. and Mrs. Harry Wilkins. She was called to her eternal rest on May 29, 2023, in her hometown, surrounded by her loving family. Lynn was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who cherished her family above all else.

Lynn attended Nichols Hills Elementary School and graduated from Classen High School in 1950. She furthered her education at the University of Oklahoma, where she earned a degree in Business Administration in 1954.

For thirty years, Lynn worked diligently at the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, where she rose through the ranks to become Foundation Secretary. She was a proud member of Alpha Chi Omega sorority and Executive Women International. Lynn was also known for her selflessness and dedication to her community as a volunteer at Mercy Hospital.

Lynn was a woman of faith and a longtime member of Nichols Hills United Methodist Church. Her faith was an integral part of her life, and she found comfort and strength in her church family.

Lynn is survived by her children, Diane Oliver and husband Charles, James Haley and wife Cindy, and Margaret McDaniel and husband Jim, stepdaughters Marcia (Jim) Downey and Elizabeth (Jim) Grubb, grandchildren Jimmy (Sarah) McCown, Michael (Stephanie) McCown, Jeffrey McCown, Amanda (Justin) Tanner, Sarah (Dane) Lausen, Emily (Jakob) Ham, Michael Haley, Daniel Haley, Ray (Tina) Downey, Beth (Brett) Swartz, Kenneth (Shanna) Grubb, and her sister Diane Hocker.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Raymond B Greene, her sister Margaret Peterson, and granddaughter Sarah Downey.

A memorial service in honor of Lynn will be held on Thursday, June 8, 2023, at 2:00 pm at Nichols Hills United Methodist Church. Contributions in Lynn's memory can be made to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation. Lynn will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, but her memory will live on forever.
