Lynne Bennett, 67, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on November 4, 2025.
She was born on June 23, 1958, in Anderson, South Carolina, to Ormond Franklin Wild Jr. and Margaret Ellison Wild Thornton. Lynne lived a creative and compassionate life, remembered for her love of animals, art, and family. A certified AKC dog handler and trainer, she adored her dog Lyla and cat Minnie. She cherished time spent with her grandchildren, Ayden and Gianna Bennett. Lynne also enjoyed watching Denver Broncos and OU games with her son, Aaron, and sharing holiday meals with Aaron, her daughter-in-law Consuelo, and her grandchildren.
She will be remembered for her humor, creativity, and kindness. Lynne is survived by her son, Aaron Bennett; daughter-in-law, Consuelo Peña Bennett; grandchildren, Ayden and Gianna Bennett; sister, Dee Wild of Colorado Springs, CO; and her beloved dog Lyla and cat Minnie.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Chapel Hill Funeral Home, Oklahoma City.
