

Mable C. Thomson, 82 of Edmond, OK, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, July 1, 2010. She was born to Cornelius and Amanda Engbrecht on February 19, 1928 in Okarche, OK. She married Benjamin Q. Thomson on June 22, 1947 in Oklahoma City, OK. She retired as Treasurer of Mid-Continent Life Insurance Co. after many years of service. During her retirement years, Mable enjoyed world travel, visiting every continent except Antarctica. Mable also dedicated many hours volunteering to help others in need. She also was an avid reader. A member of Chapter D P.E.O. and an active longtime member of First Presbyterian Church of Edmond. Preceded in death by her parents; husband Ben of 38 years; sister Dorothy Roberson and grandson Brian Benedict. Survivors are daughters, Pamela Pugh and husband Bill of Sheridan, WY and Linda Benedict and husband Bill of Edmond, OK; grandchildren, Sarah Pugh and husband Tracey Jelly of Buffalo, WY., Rachel Billings and husband John of Sheridan, WY. and Geoff Benedict and wife Summer of Owasso, OK. Also, great grandchildren, Amanda Pugh, Walker, Blake, McCaffrey and Ashley Billings and Quinton and Abigail Benedict; one brother, Edgar Engbrecht and nieces Deborah Thompson and Vickie Engbrecht and nephew, Sheldon Thomson and wife Katherine of Arlington, TX. The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of the Inn at Bradford Village, with a special thanks to Tiffany for her loving care of Mable. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 6, at Hahn-Cook/Street & Draper funeral home from 2 pm till 9 pm with family receiving friends from 6pm till 8 pm. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at the First Presbyterian Church of Edmond, OK. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Edmond or the charity of donor’s choice.
