
Mark Edwin Dinwiddie, 59, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma passed away July 17, 2015. He was born August 2, 1955 in Johnson City, New York to James E. and Jean Dinwiddie. Mark attended Star Spencer High School, where he was a member of the marching, concert and stage bands. He played tenor sax for 7 years and always sat first chair. Mark earned an associate degree in Electronics Technology at Rose State College. He spent 4 years in the Navy as a communication and intelligence specialist. Mark spent most of his working years as an electronics technician and worked for Lucent Technology for 18 years. While employed there, he received a suggestion award for one of his valuable ideas that came with a cash bonus award that was rather large for that time. Mark enjoyed listening to light rock and his favorite hobby was fishing. He was so proud of the 8 pound black bass that he caught at a local pond and had table mounted. Mark made a lot of friends in Oklahoma and he loved them all, as well as his church family at Exchange Ave. Baptist Church. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Mark is survived by his son, James Dean Dinwiddie; brothers, Mike Dinwiddie and wife Adela of Tuscon, AZ, Steve and wife Beverly of Houston, TX; sister, Susan Brown of Oklahoma City; nieces and nephews, Michael Dinwiddie, Rhonda Dinwiddie, Lisa Fairbanks, Tyler Dinwiddie, Angela Brown and Sean Brown. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm, Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at Exchange Avenue Baptist Church with interment to follow at Arlington Memory Gardens.
